Dark Space Studio has small but intriguing lineup of characters. Below you can read all about them and their growing origins.
Icepick is the story of a character filled with revenge, mystery, violence, and above all love. The story of Icepick a.k.a. Adam Amaris starts out many centuries ago, when his parents who were very powerful mages hunted down evil magical creatures, and in prison them. over the centuries, they grew their coven by four additional people. Which turned out to be Annabel’s, mother and father and Luke’s mother and father.
Icepick’s story as many twists and tones and issue, one picks up on revenge field mission to find out who killed his parents, and left him for dead. While the service continues, his best friend Luke tries to understand how he got superpowers in the lab experiment that almost killed Adam. Wow his fiancé, Annabelle thinks that Adam died in that accident.
The first story arc is a throwback to 90’s action-pack, superhero comics. If that’s something you enjoy, then I highly recommend Icepick Issue 1-4 or the Icepick DE Trade paperback which contains all 4 issues and a ton of extra art.
Annabelle’s story is very much connected to Adams. As her parents were also very strong and powerful witches. Adam’s parents knew this and recruited them to help fight the evils in the world. One faithful day, they eventually captured the ancient Samarian dragon name Kur for his crimes against humanity. They eventually recruited enough magical people to inprision him, and over the centuries of imprisonment and confinement, Kur has been plotting his revenge.
Until one perfect day he met a demon named Mordrid offering him a way to enact his revenge and his plans finally sprung into action. Killing Adam’s, Annabelle’s, & Luke’s parents. After kidnapping Annabelle to tel her his secrets, Kur set in motion the beginning of the end for him. Which would eventually be his demise by the hands of an ancient force.
The first Annabelle story arc is all about her, and ability to overcome insurmountable odds in the face of danger and even death. if you’re a fan of strong female characters and storytelling. I would highly recommend this story.
Luke’s story will soon be revealed in the upcoming release of Luke: Bloody Tooth. Launching on 2024!
